This past May 11th, at a very early time in the morning we meet with the McMillans and with all the volunteers… the energy and the good spirit was amazing… just being there and share that moment is one of a kind experience…
Jimmy McMillan was known as The Legend of Lake Okeechobee. He was that, for sure, but he proved in 2008 that he could’ve more than held his own on any traveling pro circuit in the country when he won the Eastern FLW Series points title against a roster stacked with big names from both major tours.
After pulling off that feat, he was content to run the neighborhood grocery store in Belle Glade, Fla. that’d been owned by his family throughout his lifetime
