Mayor Dave Kerner of Palm Beach County is in conversation with the county administration about possibly closing beaches over the July 4th holiday weekend.
Beaches in Miami-Dade and Broward counties have already stated that they will be closed for the Fourth of July weekend.
“In light of the beach closures in Broward and Miami-Dade counties for the Fourth of July weekend, it is my belief that allowing our beaches in PBC to be open during that time period would be exceedingly irresponsible,” the mayor said.
